Safeguarding Policy

As a club registered with the United Kingdom Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association (UKBJJA), the nationally recognised body for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the UK, we have adopted their Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, which can be viewed by clicking here.

Grapplers Den Croydon will endeavour at all times to:
Promote the welfare, health and full development of children and protect them from harms of all kinds
Recognise that children have rights as individuals and treat them with dignity and respect
Raise awareness about what children are entitled to be protected from
Plan coaching sessions so as to minimise opportunities for the children to suffer harm
Develop effective procedures for responding to alleged or suspected incidents of abuse

Our club Child Protection Officer (CPO) is Ms Ayesha Anwar and can be contacted at ayesha@hallmarklearning.co.uk. She has a background in teaching. Any concerns raised with her will be treated impartially, in confidence and handled with care. She is not a parent of any student, nor related to any member of the coaching team.
